  • From garage to collector's item: the rebirth of a vintage oil can to personalize

    Each vintage oil drum is transformed into an artwork by hand. Unearthed from flea markets, garage sales and other curiosities markets, these old jerry cans are emptied, degreased and then become the raw canvas for a unique creation.

    When a character, vehicle or automotive logo is painted on them, the can's original appearance is preserved, integrating every detail for a natural rendering, as if the can had always been like this. For brand logos, the can is stripped down to the sheet metal, left raw or repainted, then customized by hand. Some are painted with candy paints, sublimating the metal and playing with light to reveal all the richness of the material.

    Each customized oil can thus becomes a work of art at the crossroads of industrial art and automotive decoration, the fruit of patient, meticulous handiwork deeply rooted in vintage racing culture.

About the artist.

When childhood memories inspire handpainted automotive artworks

Based in Champagne region, this young painter has had a passion for cars since childhood, and took his first turns on the wheel in a 1966 Combi Split. He grew up in the family workshop, surrounded by Beetles, old tools, mechanical memorabilia and sketches scribbled in the back of the classroom.

After a diversion to the bakery profession, in homage to his late mother, it was at a vintage show that he rekindled his passion. Frustrated at not being able to afford a vintage plate, he reproduced it himself with such accuracy that it attracted attention on the networks. His first order marked the start of a new adventure: that of personalised paintwork applied to the world of cars.

Since then, he has given a new lease of life to iconic objects, painted entirely by hand. His unique pieces, made from wood, metal or vintage materials, celebrate the golden age of the automobile through a nostalgic and creative lens. Inspired by childhood memories, they appeal to collectors looking for authenticity and emotion, those who have kept their childlike spirit.
