💛 THE EXPERT'S WORD

For many years, the Ouest France newspaper had a tradition of decorating its front page with an artist's illustration on the day of the start of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Unfortunately, this tradition was abandoned, but it has been revived to mark the centenary of the race. The artist was sollicited for this project and decided to depict 3 iconic cars that have competed on the Circuit de la Sarthe throughout history: Ford GT40, Bentley Blower (1930) and Bugatti 57G (1937).

These vehicles share common traits: they stand as icons of luxury and performance in their own epochs, embodying the peak of engineering excellence. With a notable racing heritage, they were meticulously crafted with a strong emphasis on performance and competitive spirit.

Whether it's the advanced aerodynamics of the Ford GT40, the powerful engine of the Bentley Blower, or the innovative design of the Bugatti 57G, these cars have pushed the boundaries of automotive technology.

What are the differences between the supports?

Fine Art Paper, Digigraphy printing

Digigraphie is a label of excellence created by Epson that enables us to reproduce a work of art in a limited series.

All our Fine Art Paper Editions are produced exclusively on Epson Stylus Pro inkjet printers, the best Fine Art printing system available today.

Epson Ultrachrome pigment inks and Digigraphie-approved textured papers guarantee dazzling rendition, exceptional colour reliability, lightfastness and great stability over time, a top-of-the-range system used by professional galleries and the world's greatest museums.

Simple Plexiglas

The printing is done directly onto the back of 4mm thick Plexiglas, then enhanced with a layer of white adhesive.

The Plexiglas is fitted with a 2cm thick medium wood hanging frame that allows the picture to be removed from the wall.

It's a modern support that's extremely bright and deep, perfectly suited to small and medium formats.

The printing is done directly onto the back of 4mm thick Plexiglas, then enhanced with a layer of white.

The Plexiglas is then lined with an aluminium plate and a 2 cm thick hanging frame, also in aluminium, so that the illustration can be lifted off the wall.

The aluminium plate gives the painting excellent rigidity, avoiding reflections caused by the flexibility of the Plexiglas, which is very appreciated for large formats.

This is a very high-end modern medium, extremely luminous and deep.
