The story revolves around Melanie Daniels, played by Tippi Hedren (represented on the drawing), a wealthy socialite who pursues a potential romantic interest, Mitch Brenner, played by Rod Taylor, to the coastal town of Bodega Bay, California aboard an Aston Martin DB 2/4. As Melanie becomes acquainted with Mitch and his family, strange and increasingly violent bird attacks begin to occur in the town.
