This unique drawing celebrates the Jaguar D-Type, an iconic sports racing car, that achieved a historic victory at the 1957 Le Mans endurance race, courtesy of the Scottish team Ecurie Ecosse.

Behind the wheel of the D-Type were drivers Ron Flockhart and Ivor Bueb, who navigated the grueling 24-hour race to claim victory. This triumph not only highlighted the exceptional performance of the D-Type but also marked the first-ever Le Mans win for a Scottish team.

Ecurie Ecosse's success solidified their place in motorsport history were Ron Flockart won Le Mans in 1956 too with a different copilot (Ninian Sanderson), showcasing his true talent, team prowess alongside the engineering brilliance of the Jaguar D-Type.
